packed is the word :) and, some of the guts belong to RNGesus where the contents of the crates do affect "success". the bombs, for example, are directed randomly on spawn which can trigger a chain of BOOM while others simply drop and give you something (else) to dodge. i do like RNG but that leans more toward a "you can't master" random aspect that can only be overcome through "one more play"!

thanks for playing, nolan! and thank you for including it your stream which was great all-around 20sGJ goodness :)

thank you, gabe. and it's very much in your face and meant for those who dont mind a little soot or shrapnel on theirs :)

the "patches" or icons is something i started using with a prior jam game and do enjoy the customization/small polish it brings to a leaderboard so i hope to continue that bit of fun wherever i can, going forward. in my last jam game, some of that is in there but not as directly chosen by the player.

thank you! and i could have brought more BOOM with variety of sounds, etc, but it's all conveyed well enough, i believe.

meanwhile, as i've played ~1,000 times at this point, i'm safe on the leaderboard, for now... if you find yourself with plenty of sugar or caffeine in your system sometime, perhaps you can change that :)

i've moved away from more-ruthless jams myself while others seek more of a challenge in shorter, ranked jams (which i still sometimes participate in). in the end, i skim thru the queue of jams and see what fits the mood i'm in.

if you missed it on the 20sGJ server, i'm quietly announcing a Jam that begins this weekend and for ~2 months that you might be interested in. this is the 2nd OlyGames i'll have run where the first was meant to get my Jam fix in between 20 Second Game Jams :) it's Ranked and a bit "more" in the Rules requirements but meant to also include a casual aspect that 20sGJ delivers in spades.

with that, there are no restrictions on updating our 20s Game; please do, whenever you'd like.

you can filter Jams in the massive queue a little, too for example, i will usually Filter as In Progress or Starting this Month to help narrow down the options. filter again for Ranked such as this combination  and then look at duration, etc.

some, generally Ranked jams, lock the submissions during a voting period (i'll be doing this with OlyGames) but, otherwise, you are always able to keep a given submission as part of a jam unless it's manually removed by either a jam Host or yourself.

i hope this helps :)

ps, More Cows, please. i love the game!

thanks for playing, and the feedback :)
unfortunately i kept the controls, etc,  only on the project page itself (ie, click Operations there) but should have included some basic instructions inside the game, too.
regarding the weapons themselves, there are different approaches to using them, i've found. some take advantage of any lull in the action to fire off while others hold on to the weapons to wind up the last few seconds with trying to eliminate any remaining crates (where clearing them all = Award points).
i know i'll re-visit this project to shore up the fun factor so thanks again for the feedback :)

hi, same "game in the corner" issue here but when i zoom out, more of the game fits in the viewport.
i sometimes/rarely see the same in other godot games but most fit perfectly so you may ask fellow godot users how to set things up.

otherwise, nice concept and a suggestion to add a lamp that we can click to take another look at the clothing for a second. of course, clicking the lamp would cost us 5 seconds (maybe 10?) >)

thank you for sharing!

woot. nice find. i'll carry it to the discord server :)

fun game but i'd like a fullscreen button where some of the game is obscured by the page links.

otherwise, the colors, effects and play were great and while i usually avoid typing games, this one is FUN :)

add: there might be an issue with Local saves? im seeing other names on my Local board or i'm not understanding its functionality? i just beat my global score (~40k-ish?) and it doesnt show on the global board :(

20sGJ is UnRanked/No Voting but Post-Mortems were added to the Discord Server yesterday which would be a prime opportunity to post a little about your game's development while soliciting serious feedback https://discord.gg/jaE98pky

love this well-polished gem and not just because of the leaderboard (which i'll be back to stay on) but i appreciate the minigames, art, sound, storyboarding, and the entire experience :)

with all the tapping, i feel it may play better on mobile so i'll be giving that a shot, too. otherwise, Loot Jackal rocks!

thanks for stopping by, shotgun :)

beautiful and well-executed experience.

would allowing us to free memory by deleting inconclusive data make it too easy? regardless, i'll try to fill it with only valuable data as i continue exploration (while i am shopping for a small domicile so that i may become a semi-permanent resident of Rosetta Prime) :)

i appreciate the update and have zero issues with black bars on my laptop :)

yes, they are there but it's really not detracting from the fun, for me.

this is a pixeled masterpiece :) nice little story, nice visuals and overall ambience, great play!

cracking the 2K mark is great, KAP'n!

thanks for playing :)

thanks for enlisting :) it's getting tough to make the leaderboard but i'll be watching for SIN!

great play, premise and fun!

nice work!

ah, i missed  that. looking forward to whatever you do in the home stretch!

something's amiss where the first 4-5 collects said 500 each while i was awarded much less.

otherwise, nice missile dodger and the leaderboard is appreciated :)

the Rate on Itch button opens both https://bit.ly/rate-chaospalooza and the Rate on Itch page? if you used it as a URL shortener, i guess that's what happens? i've games with similar Rate buttons that use the standard itch url and there are no pop-ups/re-directs, so i dunno.

not sure if i ever won (maybe pause things for a second @ game over so our tapping frenzy doesn't skip?), but had a buncha fun :)

i loved the graphics and overall vibe but unsure how to play (well) :)

i expected my ship to screenwrap but it seems i just drifted into space?

otherwise, nice asteroids-esque :)

i never could hold my liquor :)

nice game; you sucked me right into the tavern with the graphics, music & sound, tho it would be nice to be able to replay the same round without having to step through the many dialogues to get there?

otherwise, very fun. looking forward to the full version!

very fun game. i do wish there was a fullscreen button, tho. the viewport is much larger than the game itself.

curious game but not appreciating the bitly re-direct?

wave 7, 117,000 +. how about a global leaderboard for this?

i had a blast! (get it? :) )

nice dungeoning :)

a small nag:, as we're clicking a lot, the same attack button shouldnt be the restart button, as well, as we'll miss the end of the round?

otherwise, good fun!

20 Seconds of Ultima goodness :)

oh, i will. and since i launched it, i haven't blinked. mimicking the neck movement was the easiest, so far. once the popping stopped. but, ima beat them in every  way.

just when i think i figured it out, the groovy music laughs at me.

beautiful game, Akz :)

clean game and good fun. is it possible to change the target at all? i think that would add some replayability/variety.

thanks for sharing :)

nice flicker. i dont think that's ever been said by anyone so congrats! :)

yup. definitely needs quick Restart; i'd love to play again once it's added :

good fun :) i do think Win should offer a little more Reward and the end Buttons are kinda hard to read but i liked the art, music, sound and general play overall. nice job!

nice 20s of horror :)
