Cool art style! Found it a bit hard to control the movement but overall good job!

Really cool visuals, and the gameplay is pretty fun despite the slightly hard to master controls (almost uncontrollable when I got speed boosts), but just some minor tweaking and its definitely a great game to play

It took me a little while to figure out how the looping mechanic worked, but once I did, it was really fun! The artstyle is very cute and polished.

What a classic! Had that old-school arcade vibe but with a clean and modern polish.

Well polished with a cool concept. I struggled a bit initially but I got better

Enjoyed this one! The looping is fun but pretty hard to master, and the powerups you can pick up around the level were a nice touch. I wasn't a huge fan of the sliding movement, I think it would play a lot nicer with a tighter character controller, especially in a game like this where precise movement like looping around an enemy is key. But the art was very pretty and sounds were quite good as well. Great job!

Great game! The looping mechanic is very well done and very well polished. Player movement took some getting used to and made looping a little tricky initially but I got it down after some time. Gameplay-wise I loved the loop mechanic, and I had a lot of fun trying to see how big  I could make the loops and pushing the enemies to get closer to me.

Not sure if this is intentional but after a while enemies stopped appearing which was kind of a shame, I also do think the enemies could stand to move a bit faster to pose more of a threat.

Artwork and art direction plus sound design are very well done and I loved the aesthetic of the game overall. I know I've said it but this is a remarkably well polished experience for a game jam game.

Great job! And congrats on finishing this game jam :)

Such fun gameplay—I ended up defeating all the enemies in the end!

I enjoyed this A LOT. First of all great execution on the theme, my favourite so far. Clear presentation. Very smart design with the relationship between distance, speed and loop power. I liked the balancing. It was quite a lot on the difficult side, but at least really made me want to beat it and the satisfaction afterwards was even greater. My only dislike was how easy it was to escape camera and fall into enemies at high speed. Really took away from the enjoyment of the speed to me. Let me stress again, very impressed by balancing I know it's not easy to get in a jam time-scale.

I loved floating through space!

This was one of the initial ideas I came up with, and I think this is a pretty good job! The movement, click to start "drawing" all felt very intuitive.

Really cute game! Pretty clear objective gameplay loop,  the character felt floaty in a good way (being in space), with a lot of neat systems in place to always be doing something. We had the same interpretation of the theme, but I think your execution fo save a dying star with the upgrades! Lots of charm

I really enjoyed this one. Gameplay was fairly smooth, with some of the floaty nature of it being justified by being in space, and the art and sound design was solid, though the music did stop looping after a bit.

I did have some issues with the web player displaying way too large, it was larger then my screen and I couldn't find a full screen option. The speed power ups honestly felt like a hinderance after a while, making it too hard to control, but part of that might have been I didn't realize I was supposed to loop the sun at first and was just looping enemies (That's entirely my bad, your instructions were clear, I missed that detail.)

Overall, good and enjoyable experience. Well done.

Really love the visual style you have going here! The gameplay is also fun, although I did struggle a bit with the loops -- sometimes I let go just a moment too early because the player graphic had completed the loop, but I guess the line itself hadn't crossed over yet. Perhaps it could auto-complete instead when you make the loops? I think the music fit really nicely, although ironically enough, it didn't loop for me so I had to refresh the page a few times. Overall very nice work!

Developer

Thanks for playing Sebastian! Yes, I think the loop implementation requires more leniency. Right now I'm doing an intersection check on each point pair, but that sometimes leads to the player just barely creating a loop. Perhaps I can do a radius check on the last point to see if there's a neighbour n-points away to form a mercy-loop. Can't wait to see your next video! 👽💖

Nice fun game! The controls are a little difficult and the web version is hard to navigate( I wasn't able to play in full screen). Overall, nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I've lowered the viewport size to address this. 👽
