Michaelsoft Binbows is trash compared to this masterpiece, can't wait for the full release

Woah, this game was a gem! Loved the ending as well, so cool! The art style was very nice and the dialogue was funny and well written. I really enjoyed playing this one :D How did you have time to make this.. (crying cause I didn't finish mine :D)

(1 edit)

Points for creativity! It was fun juggling all the different messages and tasks. But social media is stressful, me no likey :( At least Jamie has his plant <3

Took me a short while to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but once I did it was quite fun and a very cool idea. You executed it really well too. There is something about slowly 'eating?' away the screen that is really satisfying. Good job!

Works great to fit the theme! I had a lot of fun playing, and the fact that you are a snake and slowly shrink as you get hit is very clever. Great job with this game!

Very creative game, reminded me of papers please in a way. Having the volume settings integrated into the speaker was very clever too. Great job!

I really liked the atmosphere of the game and the mechanic and story is really unique, great job! I did wish the light around the player was a little larger, or maybe show the level lit up for a second after respawning, as I would forget how the level was spaced out and it made it harder than it needed to be. But I thought the levels were well designed, not too difficult but made you think for a minute. Story is also pretty funny. When the fish dodged the fisherman but couldn't resist a worm, I felt that. Must be scary being a little fish in the ocean. Awesome job!

Enjoyed this one! The looping is fun but pretty hard to master, and the powerups you can pick up around the level were a nice touch. I wasn't a huge fan of the sliding movement, I think it would play a lot nicer with a tighter character controller, especially in a game like this where precise movement like looping around an enemy is key. But the art was very pretty and sounds were quite good as well. Great job!

I like the balatro style twist to the snake. Definitely needs some more polish and designing but it could work! Good job with this!

Very creative idea, I like it a lot! Art and the atmosphere is very nice as well. The controls for the looping are pretty tough though, definitely requires some practice. Also sometimes, it wouldn't kill an enemy even when I looped around it and I am not sure why. But great job with the game!

Seen other games with similar concepts but this one was very well made and I loved the eerie aesthetic it has! Puzzles were well designed, not too difficult but not obvious either. Awesome job!

Simple game but well polished and addicting, I enjoyed playing! Good job!

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to achieve just didn't quite get there yet :D Your feedback is great to hear, and keeps me motivated to keep expanding the game further :D

Thank you, I am hoping it will work haha, there are a lot of unknowns with this idea.

Love the art style of this game! The drawing of new cards animation is also very nice. Great job guys!

I don't play rhythm games but a worm DJ was too good to pass up :D Solid execution on all fronts, audio is great of course but I really enjoyed the art and the dialogue between the songs. It was pretty tough though haha

Enjoyed this a lot! I love the cute artstyle, controls were well implemented and puzzles simple but fun. Great job on this :D

Super creative! Fits the theme well and difficulty increases as you play. I also love the character animations, very cute! The tackle of someone holding the ball but a foul if they aren't is very clever design, great job!

I really liked the controls and the camera controller, it seemed quite polished and nice to move around the arena. The rewind was an interesting mechanic but didn't really seem that useful, nicely implemented though. Few things I would change are holding down the button to shoot and some goal for the player, like a count of enemies in the current stage or something like that. Good job!

Fun game with a great story and narration :D 18 mins to complete, I do think it's a little on the longer side for a game jam game, but it was quite satisfying getting to the later levels and speedrunning through them faster than the narrator could finish the lines, so I had two lines going at once haha. The game was adorable with a nice song and lovely artstyle. I do think however the rate at which you 'evolve' could have been increased, as that is the main thing that dragged the game down for me. Great job!

Thank you, glad to hear that! I will certainly try to do that

Thanks! I sure hope so :D

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I will try and expand the game after the jam, I still have quite a few ideas. I agree that the 'slot machine' is not one just yet haha, I'll do something about that.

Haha, thanks! It is true it does not look like a slot machine just yet :D I'll be continuing the game after the jam to see where it can go.

Thanks! I'll have to look into that. I am glad you liked it despite the lack of content for now. I'll be expanding the game after the jam :D

Thanks! I also wish I managed to put more in but I'm glad I got the prototype out at least, to test the concept

Thank you! I'm definitely interested in expanding on the idea to see where it can go. I have a feeling balancing will be difficult, but we will see :D

BOOM! I went on itch to play more jam games for an hour. Played a single game :D Worth it though! This was so much fun, and it already feels like a complete game. Loved the graphics, the sounds and music, the idea is unique and very cool! I had a blast playing this for sure. The only thing I would criticize is that it is a little rng heavy right now. Preventing spikes from spawning too close to each other would be nice. Or make blink regenerate through maybe some pickups to add some more fairness. I also think the time window on especially the jump is a little too tight. But the controls were very nice and intuitive once you get used to them. Increasing the brightness of mana would be good, as it was hard to see how much i had left while looking at another part of the screen. I love how fast you respawn after you die, makes it so easy to just keep going (hence the time I played :D ). Sick game would love to see this concept expanded in the future.

I really like how you can try to keep your speed but it makes steering harder, or take it slow but steady. I had a lot of fun playing :D The addition of enemies on the race track is quite interesting. I did find the steering with the mouse btn a bit weird and difficult, but maybe I was doing it wrong. It was also sometimes not too apparent where I need to go, some more visual cues pointing you in the right direction would be very helpful. Good job on the submission!

Super fun, I am surprised you managed to make all this in the time! The buttons were a little strange and took me a small while to figure out what to click haha. I was also unsure what tempering actually was. The game seems polished and well balanced, and the additional bonus effects on runes are awesome. Very good game you made here!

Loved this one! I had a lot of fun, starts off easy and ramps up fast, quite challenging in the later stages. The shop keeper and the dialogue is awesome stuff as well. Surprised you got so much done in the time, well done! Inspired by Shotgun King I presume? But has its own identity. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out you can move into pieces to kill them too haha.

Cool idea and mechanics, works great for a puzzle game! Some more types of apples or mechanics to change how the snake behaves would be a good addition for the future. I liked this one a lot, good job!

This was a lot of fun! The way of choosing your rooms is quite interesting, was a little confused at first so maybe it could be explained some more, but I got the hang of how it worked after. I liked how you introduced new enemies in the later stages. It is a little too easy I reckon, but that's good for game jams anyway. Art is fantastic as well! Awesome job :D

Started off easy and got a lot more challenging later, great job on that! Having the bulbs there for extra challenge was also a clever addition. I had fun with this, it was well designed, a little rough on the graphics but good work!

Love the creativity and art you've put into this. The variety and uniqueness of each minigame is very fun and the story is hilarious :D Awesome job on the game!

The graphics and intro are very very nice :D I like the unlocking of controls as you play, almost like a metroidvania, and done creatively! It would have definitely been nice for some visual cue you unlocked a double jump, which left me confused for a while. But the black hole effect was an awesome and clever way of doing a timed challenge, like that a lot! Congrats on the game!

Creative idea for sure! It was fun, but frustrating sometimes when it spawned you right next to a past bullet. I think a better system would be if it spawned you at the same position as you ended the previous round, so that you could have an idea for where you start the next one and can even try to remember the previous positions of past rounds. But good job nonetheless!

Thanks a bunch! You know it, there was so much to do before I could start making the mods themselves I only made a few. The code is horrible tbh, but still happy I got it to work and could try out how my idea would work! I had way more mods I wanted to add so I'll keep playing around with it and see where it goes, thanks for your feedback!

For sure! Thanks a lot! I had quite a lot of ideas for mods I wanted to add, but just figuring out how to get the connection and mod system running took so much time I could only implement a few. Oh well :)
