Love this. Such a smart, simple mechanic that effortlessly matches the theme while also being just a really fun experience all around. Could easily see this expanding into a full Steam release. Nice job.
thanks for the kind words!
Super engaging and a superb space exploration vibe, congrats! :D
Very nice feel and vibe!
The only major problem was that the camera did' move until you arrive - but sometimes it is so fun to just throw it forward into the unknown and see where it lands!
Great job overall!
The game has great visuals, and it feels really good getting into the rhythm and gaining momentum!
Great game! I'll be happy to play it on my phone! Please rate my game if it's not too much trouble
I really like the way you captured the space aesthetic! The visual effects/styling are really nice and I dig the flinging. I'm pretty bad at aiming at the stars even with the slow-mo though lol.
great game play 🩵
I loved every second of this. The FX were gorgeous, the gameplay was fun and satisfying (especially with the audio). The only changes I would make are adding a brief tutorial and working with some of the balancing as the game is quite difficult at first.
I would play/buy this for the Switch or play on mobile. It's one of those brain-melty games.
Love the gravity mechanics!
I love arcade games like this! The slowing down and showing your trajectory was a nice touch! Wish my aim didnt suck lol
The gameplay is really good! I like the concept, art, and stuff too. I got 54 before losing, great game :D
Really enjoyed the smooth, addictive gameplay and the polished feel! The one-button mechanic is simple but satisfying, and the 3D shader effects give it a cool arcade vibe. Definitely has the charm of a classic mobile game. Great job!
I love all the shader work you've done on this. Really adds to the arcade feel. Not really sure what going to the yellow planet is doing, but had fun regardless
so fun, i really love the use of the fx bloops when youre charging up and the 3d shader effect is really cool : ] addicting and flowy gameplay and the art direction also is awesome ! feel like i could find in this in an indie arcade somewhere
A simple gameplay idea executed very well, I like the one button input, charging up and jumping from star to star feels really juicy, and the 3d effect when you enter an orange star is very cool (although was a bit jarring at first haha). Could definitely benefit from some extra mechanics and incentives to complement the star jumping (maybe obstacles/bonuses between the stars or something like that), but with some more content seems like an old school phone game I would end up sinking a lot of time into, nice job.
Ha! You nailed it. My goal this year was to focus on a simple mechanic and try to make it as enjoyable and polished as I could. I used to sink HOURS into this single tap android game that kind of had this as a concept. I had fun trying to capture what that game felt like, apply it to the theme, then polish it as good as I could. thanks for playing!
This game was so much fun to play! This deserves so much more credit than it has. The overall 'feel' of this game is so fun. You should be proud!
Thanks for the kind words! the juice/feel/UX of the game was my focus this year; I'm glad that translated.
Very clean and strong mechanic, game feel and feedback were also great. The slow down was pretty awesome too, though I just fly out of bound all the times.
I spent a lot of time trying to keep it from being too hard; my 7 and 13 yr old were my playtesters, but after a while I think they just got better at the game as opposed to me making it easier. I was hoping slomo time, the aim line, and auto emergency boost rescue helped tilt things in the players favor, but I'm wondering if I should have made the stars/gravity bigger. Maybe in an update.
Thanks for playing!
