As others have mentioned, it would have been far better had the building's decoration been more varied. It was a delightful experience, reminiscent of those old Buildsim flash games with their theme hotel concepts.

This was a nice, cozy experience. Would love an expanded version with more buildings. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit annoying to put down pavement squares individually.
Very relaxing building sim. I would like to have a list of objectives or maybe even targeted goals, just so I have something to work towards lol. I like the art, it’s very cute!
Nice little builder game, it definitely has potential to be further improved. Both the music and artstyle created a nice atmosphere.

Nice game. I liked the art and the music. I didn't run into any game-breaking bugs, and there were no fps drops . All the best.
My family used to collect those miniature Halloween buildings so it's cool to see the concept in a game! The art and atmosphere were great and I love the day night cycle. Like someone else said, the menus cutoff the bottoms of the larger buildings when placing them which make them hard to line up but just moving the pivot to the bottom would help a ton with that. With more time, I'd love to see more variety of buildings but what you completed is really impressive for a jam! This was really fun!

Although the controls scheme was unusual to me (I'm used to playing strategy games with a mouse instead of a keyboard or controller), I enjoyed my time building the town. The sprite work is nice, the music is fun to listen to, and I liked thinking about the strategic placement of objects and buildings to prevent tourists from walking on the grass.
With that said, I had some usability issues, like the building's pivot point felt like it should have been in the center of the bottom part of the sprite, instead of its upper left corner. This made the placement of larger buildings, like hotels, more cumbersome than it should have been. Also, it would have been nice to have a pause menu and an option to exit the game.

Nice little city building game! I wish I could build cement tile in bulk, though, cause placing each tile is quite tiring, but overall, really like the vibe!
Really charming game. I was kinda hoping it would turn dark to really flip the game on its head but I respect what yall were going for.
It might not flip on its head, but I think we are planning to make it spookier in future!
I love the idea of this game! A little spooky sim city would be great! Maybe switch up to WASD instead of arrows though, it was really awkward on my laptop.

I love these types of games! I see a foundation of a game, and what you have looks really great. With quality assets and smooth performance. Hoping for more is a good feeling, it would be great to have a Halloween Themed Sim Game and I love the concept of spooky points, you could have the upgrades get increasingly spooky in art. Very cute. :)
really cute fun little builder I enjoyed it a lot maybe in the future you could add events based on the progress of the town Like having monsters show up or adding haunted houses or stuff like that. and people who go into them get scared but overall very nice music and atmosphere. and in terms of ease of use maybe add the ability to add multiple objects at a time rather than picking them each time I added pathing throughout my town but it was kind of a pain. other than that it was a nice chill after playing some spooky games good job
Overall good game, music and environment but i don't know why but for some reason the game's resolution was not fitting into my 2560 x 1600 laptop screen, well it's fine but please add the pause menu and main menu so that it becomes easy to pause the game and exit easily. And i like this one!
Thank you for the feedback! Pausing, config for changing resolution, exitting the game, and saving are all planned for an update after the game jam. They were all planned for the game jam release but I just couldn't get to them in time.
It's unusual to see city-building type games in these jams so it was nice to see one, the music and art are really cute!

Great game with a silly aesthetic that I quite enjoy! The music is very entertaining, and while city builders are not my thing, I couldn't help but get charmed by this little spooky town! Great Game!
