I usually don't have much interest in gambling but with the art style and the cookie effects, I think it's quite a unique and enjoyable game :)

I love the atmosphere, background music and the storybuilding. The art style reminds me of old games I used to play on the internet as a kid. I think the idea is solid but there isn't much variety in the gameplay. If you added more to the gameplay (exploring rooms, breaks between fights, animations and sound effects, more options to the choices), it could be a really good game. The direction you are going is strong.
Also, the colors might make it a bit hard to read so a different text color would be great. Good luck in the jam :)
I can totally see this game coming out as a party game (after polish). The 2.5D aspect makes it fun to look at and I love the icy controls. I assume you made the sound effects yourself and it makes the game pretty funny. Some improvements for hitting range and performance would make the game way better. Also the sprites sometimes clips through the walls but those are easily fixable.
If you add some variety to the gameplay (new gamemodes, level modifiers, local and online multiplayer) and polish, I can totally see it being on Steam and having sales. Great game :)
I think this is one of the most enjoyable entries in this jam. The climbing mechanism is really fun. I felt like a monkey climbing a big tree while going up the fridge. Once you lose your grip, its hard to grab something but still doable and saved me couple of times. It fits the theme really well. The visuals and sound effects are pretty nice too.
This is quite a well made game. The mechanics are simple and fun, the artstyle fits and levels are nicely designed. It also has Kevin Macleod's music lmao. Honestly it felt quite complete and I wouldn't even think it is a jam game if I hadn't know it. The only problem I had was with the length changing because my mouse wheel doesn't work properly, but I managed to fling myself by grappling as far as I can.
Rolling pin has a bit more range but I might have made fists a bit too powerful lmao. About throwing, was the framerate low? I forgot to fix a bug which changes the throw distance depending on the framerate.
If you liked it, I definitely recommend hotline miami 1. Such a great game. Thanks for the review :)
This game has a lot of potential. I love rhythm games and music in general. The idea is solid, the artstyle is simple but fits the game, and I like the little character dancing on the side. The song choices could be improved, however, Fairy on Fire was amazing. It reminded me of Demetori's Touhou arrangements. Also, capturing the rhythm of the blue boxes was a bit hard due to them being a bit off-beat. For a single person project, it was very good and felt complete (aside from the off-beat parts). I think the game would be really fun and might even gather a small community if you iron the kinks out. I hope you can put a "map creator" into the game like you mentioned in the description. I would definitely play this game again. Enjoy the jam :)
PS: Were you inspired by Yakuza 0's disco minigame? XD
I LOVE the soundtracks, especially the hardstyle-ish one. The gameplay is enjoyable and has a nice feel. The textures are fine too. One problem I encountered was character looking to the left at the start of the run, unable to turn forward for few seconds, I assumed it was a bug but it didn't affect the game much. Fun game, good luck in the jam :)
I can finally play a game similar to those fighting reels on Instagram XD. I like the artstyle, the unique abilities and everything in general. One thing I would change would be the bugs' AI though. The enemy is a bit too smart sometimes. Overall fun and interesting game, I hope you enjoyed the jam and get a nice ranking :)
Hey Sheer, thanks for playing it. The game I wanted to do was way different than the outcome. I was going to add some more enemy and weapon types, fix issues with collisions and have more levels so the difficulty doesn't go from 0 to 100. Sadly it ended up not happening because of irl time issues and me being the only dev. I'm still happy that it was fun to play despite everything.
This might be one of the best games I've played on the gamejam so far. The visuals are great, music awesome, and there is a funny storyline. I like the gameplay too. I think the only thing holding this game back from being in the top spot is the AI and the gun feel. If those were great as well, this game would have been a 10/10 in my eyes. Still, I'd easily give this 9/10.
I love this game. The turn based attack is simple and fun. The dino depictions are very cute as well. And the short fun facts about the dinos are the cherry on top. It has early 2000s educational game vibes. The slot machine is a bit OP though. I gambled away all my XP to reach level 19 and gave all my points to attack, which made me oneshot everything (except one of the high HP dinos). Still, I loved it. I hope you get the ranking you want :)
