It looks great :D
If you could add Europe or Germany, that would be really cool :D

Hey, thanks so much for playing the game and for making a video! It's awesome to see.
I saw your feedback in the video. You're right, and yes, the game is in active development! I'm just bad at posting devlogs or updating the demo. :D
I'm adding a tutorial, and I'm happy to report that all of the jank and buggy ball behavior you ran into is fixed now.
I've actually added a ton of new features since the build you played. Here's a quick list of what's new:
- Customization: Added a massive amount of character customization, so the "orange man" is just one of many combinations now. :D
- New Physics Stuff: Added new ball and tower materials, both with variable hardness.
- Progression: Overhauled the upgrade menu into a full upgrade tree and added a research tree for new balls.
- New Gameplay: An adventure mode with harder towers that need better balls and abilities, an endless mode, new ball abilities, and other upgrades.
- New Economy: You can collect materials from destroyed towers and use them to build new balls.
- Helpers: You can now hire workers to help you out.
Thanks again for covering the game! I'm currently working on a new demo and the full game will be shipped on Steam one day.
really fun game and progression, it kept me interested until the very end. The game really needs a map. its way to hard to map everything in my mind. I had to check the screenshot multiple times and that was annoying. it must be ingame with a keypress (if it was ingame i was too stupid to find it sry).
The game is fun and reminded me a lot of symphony of the night.
Really great game i managed to get all masks :D

The Story is super creative. effing yourself over with the first coffee haha :D I really thought at first this is a game about serving coffee and the "real" goal suprised me a lot :D
Lovely art and relaxing music, also making the quality of the counterfeit money dependent on my drawing skills was really clever.
I had fun playing your game, super great entry :D
A very interesting concept. I managed to get some requests right :D. but not all of them. It was very difficult for me.
A bit more leeway, with guesses would have helped in my opinion. for example if you got 50% right, get one extra chance and maybe a checkmark on the mask that was correctly guessed or a crossout if it was wrong.
The artwork gives the game a very mysterious and bit of a melancholic touch.
Interesting experience and good game :)
i spawned very close to the exit (dont know if random) but i had to pretty much just trick one guy to walk through the exit :D so the game was 10 seconds and then i won.
i dont know if something bugged out but that was the game for me :D
It was fun to trick the guard and then just rush to the exit. Great Game :D
The idea is really cool and interesting and it was fun to find out the mask mechanics. The centipede was pretty strong but with the 2 masks i was invincible by poisoning and armoring infinitely :D he just slowly died and never got past my armor :D
This reminded me a bit of megaman, where kill order of the bosses was important too.
My kill order was manticore, scarab, centipede.
The pixelart is great and the gameplay is fun.
Great Game :D
it felt kinda cool to kite the enemies to stack multiplier for a long time to then unleash a giant explosion and level up 6 times in a row :D
The idea is cool but it was a bit too easy for me, i think dying is impossible especially if you just stay close to the maskdispenser.
For a first jam this game is a great game and a huge accomplishment. Good Job :D
a really fun survivors like, my best try was with the cat and clown mask and always prio 30% reload reduce over damage, never buy any dash or move upgrades. pumpkin man was really rough at the beginning, because his projectiles are hard to control.
I had fun playing the game.
The game felt very zoomed in in my opinion, very little viewrange, but maybe i just played too much vampire survivors :D
You made a cool entry in 9 days. Good Job!
i think i beat it. I killed the last boss and it brought me back to the main menu.
I also think there was nothing to interact with, but i could be wrong.
The controls were good and the attack felt good too. it just needs a bit more feedback when doing damage or getting damaged.hit sounds and miss sounds maybe.
Short but sweet entry. Good Job :D
The game was very chill. all the nature sounds and the atmosphere were really relaxing.
i managed to snap the first 2 pictures. for the fourth picture i was pretty sure that i was standing at the correct spot, but the game just didnt want to accept it sadly. so i was not sure if i had to snap all pictures in the correct order as shown in the helper screen, because i skipped the third one. also i think i watered the trees? or maybe i was just imagining it but after toggling the rain the trees had leafs i think :D
Im sorry i didnt play the whole game so i didnt experience the ending. but for what i saw it was really relaxing experience.
My only complaint is that i wish there was a sprint button for my character to be able to run faster. The motorcycle sound in the audio was breaking the immersion a bit.
I had fun playing and it reminded me a bit of a marioparty minigame i played recently on switch :D
It was a fun experience, good job :D
really cool detective game, i enjoyed it.
I liked that every possible option was in the uis when needed to be used (like evidence when talking) also the summaries to remind myself who said what. It helped to understand the game very quickly because i havent played a game like this before. The only thing that stumped me was the timejump of mister white alive/dead, but i got that pretty fast.
Really great entry and i solved the mystery :D
The atmosphere of the game was really nice, the slenderman (sorry for no better word) was really scary :D
I made the mistake to get to close to him before having a mask, but i managed to just run away very slow, with him hunting me for the rest of the game :D after reaching a spot on the map that had masks it became easier to run away. It was kinda intense :D
I was very surprised that the game was in german haha :D
I managed to get all tablets and witness the cutscene in the end. it seems like something has awoken to be discovered in the next jam :D (at least a continuation would be really epic imo)
For 9 days this is super impressive great game and good job :)
Your game is fun. The drawings have a really cool unique charm :D i can set my own difficulty/balancing pretty much which is actually quite ingenious system imo. i think your idea has so much potential and is a super creative way to balance the game. i think that masksystem would cater to a wide audience. it could be the hardest pain to beat the boss or the biggest steamroll easymode and everything in between, so something for everyone.
i would have loved to see some more negative runes, because the boss mechanics are a bit too easy for me even without any runes, even 5x juggernaut felt a bit too easy.
but i understand the time constraints and you already mentioned you had no time left for complex boss patterns.
For such a short time you made a really cool game, nothing felt off in the game other than it beeing a bit too easy for me.
Great Job :D !
thanks :D the shader is a modification of https://godotshaders.com/shader/fireball-fire-ball-with-light/ and was mostly a happy accident. and i dont understand its workings fully thats why i had a tough time using it.
Your art is supergood, love the animations and all the little details, like their feet when flopping. Really cool :D
Also the endscene in the hammock was a super impressive graphic, that probably took a lot of time to draw.
The art gave the game a really cool touch. Same goes for the music and the sounds. they added to the crawly insects atmosphere.
the last boss was the right amount of difficult in my opinion.
my only complaint is that sometimes the orbs got stuck in the walls and unreachable sadly when keeping the boss near the walls, for the stun. but that was just a minor annoyance
I had fun in my playthrough. Great game good job :D
Pleased to hear it made you smile :D
i was responsible for the lighting/lightning. its a canvasshader and its opensource. i made it last year and didnt have the chance back then to use it for something other than the example. This year i really wanted to use it and i have do admit i have no clue what i was thinking last year when coding that abomination.
its a convoluted mess and drove me mad cause it was very hard to use and i will rewrite it at one point, but if you are interested this is the shader https://godotshaders.com/shader/dynamic-glow/
This is the room in its full glory btw without the shader applied.
Awesome thats exactly what we were going for, thats one of the gigaupgrades :D
We added a few upgrades that 10x (and even more mult) the progress pretty much for the sake of having a short game for the jam.
Just so people dont have to play through an endless incremental and then lose interest before the fun begins :D
This way the upgrade feels ridicolously overpowered which i think is really cool.
If you imagine the upgradetree as 3 branches the left branch is masks, the right branch is items and the top branch is clicking.
The last leafs of these 3 branches are the overpowered upgrades.
you live and learn :D but thanks for the feedback because its these small things, we devs dont see, after playing the game too often. so we didnt think of that. i mean its obvious but then again its not. i think we could put a little upwards blinking arrow in the beginning, that disappears after the first pull. hope you liked the rest :D
Thank you for the kind words :D
if the ending felt a bit anticlimactic its because we had no time sadly to make a super interesting reveal in the likes of bioshock :D. One idea was to have the players itch avatar as last face, but that was such a huge implementation burden with using itch oauth applications/api, to make requests on the behalf of the user and such and a lot of other hurdles. but i think that could have been a pleasant suprise reveal.
Another idea was to zoom in into the face and somehow zoom that far in (maybe into the reflection of the eye) that in the end its the same room again and it starts from the beginning with a prestige system like other incrementals have.
But it was simply too complicated to realize with only 24h left.
Maybe one day :D who knows.
Oh yea and i really need to learn how to code a good audiomanager lol :D and learn from some other games that have so much spam happening. sorry about that, i did the same.
Thats awesome :D Thank you Spoon. Glad you like it :)
The cursor bug is a last minute bug i added to the game :/
I dont know yet what exactly is happening, somehow the camera paning or spamupgrading in the techtree messes with the handposition and since the mousecursor is hidden, the tip of the finger sometimes isn't where the real mousecursor is :/
ill fix that when the lockdown phase is over, because its really bugging me
Thank you glad you liked it :D in the beninging our most voted idea in the team was a complicated chess game (faceless chess/card battler mix) where you draw mask cards to put on pieces to change their role (knight mask, bishop mask etc) but we understood early on that it might be too ambitious because it became very complicated very fast, so we scraped the idea and went with the easy dopamine loop route haha :D
guilty as charged haha :D
Thank you for playing :)
I collected a bunch of sticks and sold them to amount somewhere around 100 coins, but sadly i didnt understand what the spirit wants or what valueables to trade with him so i was stuck at that point. The house was very bugged for me too (just a little corner visible) so i decided ill chose my own adventure and that beating the game meant to see whats in that house :D (and hopes that what i needed to do to trade with the spirit was in that house)
So here is the tutorial to see whats in the house :D
1. load the game with this link https://html-classic.itch.zone/html/15278386/index.html
2. have a 2 screen setup and resize the browser to be as wide as both screens combined.
3. enjoy the room
so here is a little spoiler, sadly the room didnt have anything to offer and i think trading with the spirit is not implemented. so seeing the room, was quite a challenge and was like beating the game for me :)
sorry i dont want to diminish your game with what i wrote. I had genuinly fun finding out how to make the room visible with the tools at hand.

I understand that study is more important than a game jam. I just wanted to see whats in that room :D
The inventory system was working quite well for me and i liked the colorpalette choice and colors of the ui.
Good luck with your exams!
The artwork is supreme, i love it so much. all the details, the little sway of his coat, the backgrounds, everything looks really good.
If thats really your first time coding than hats off. the first time i coded i was happy i had text printed on the screen, so this is kind of a huge accomplishment what you did there in my opinion.
The 2 phased layout is a really clever idea for a platformer, i like it. hinting at the other dimension platforms with dashed lines is a good gamedesign choice. So a really good execution for a first game. Super impressive.
I couldnt get past this point cause im too stupid i guess lol :D
I tried like 40 times and then gave up.

A great game you can be really proud of yourself!
It requires a good amount of skill but I played a lot of nightreign the past 2 months so was prepared :D
Love the pixelart it looks really cool. The different eerie/spooky musictracks added to the whole atmoshpere
Really good job :)
My only complaint is that everything was very tiny on my screen. I suppose thats not part of the challenge.
So i hope this helps:
Changing the fullscreen button checkbox in itch is still possible even in the lockphase, so you could still do that if you want.

After the jam you could set mode to canvas_items in the projectsettings so the game always stretches to the window dimensions while keeping its aspect ratio.

hope that helps. It was just a minor annoyance. Great game . I had fun playing :D

What a lovely game, it felt very polished and well rounded. The vibe of the tune was so happy and charming and helped me cope with the harsh reality of deciding peoples fate (jk but the song was really a banger :D )
I like the pixelart a lot and the little swaying of hair and all the small details. really cool
The characters were all very unique and the 3 year old impressed me the most, he was such a great talker :D
in the end i had 5 correct and 2 incorrect, i hope i can keep the job :D
Really cool lighthearted entry, love it. Great job!
Glad you did that. the game is fun and actually i realized i was lying when i said i built everything because i thought the game had 3 units an 3 buildings. but i realized different units build different buildings it seems. but now i think i tried out everything and i did not expect that much variety lol. super impressed :D
it needs a bit of rebalancing cause it felt a bit too easy in my opinion.
You made a really cool defense game and the gameplay reminded me a lot of a very old old old starcraft broodwar defense map i loved playing back in the day. i think it was called bunker wars or starship troopers. something like that.
I found a mask unit but it was invisible and i had no clue what it did but it was there i could select it lol :D
The mage was my favourite he had superstrong aoe. i couldnt buy warlocks for some reason although i had 7 souls available.
here is a screenshot of my final base. i stopped at this point cause the enemies where just getting oneshot obliterated by the mages lol :D
Great game :D and it went from a cautionary tail of overscoping to a cautionary tail of not judging yourself too harsh i hope :D
