Balancing the game was super fun, as I was able to do with my school friends help, as I watched them grind the game in our spare time. This was a great refresher from constant school work.

Cool platforming game!

The difficulty is well balanced and the player felt good to use.

Only complaint I have is that the game had no music, I don't know if this is a bug since there's an option to toggle in the pause menu but I only had sound effects.

360 seconds and 10 deaths, not bad x)

Thank you! yeah the music was apparently really inconsistent, sometimes works for some people, not with others. My best guess its a platform/device reason. Only a problem with the html version which I didnt notice :(

I like some level get harder each time I do It. I love the background.

To be honest i was dreading playing your game since i am really bad at such games, but i have to admit i had a lot of fun! And managed to do ok given my skill level in platformers :D The ramp up in difficulty and the way you introduced new mechanics was done to perfection! Really good job on that. I loved the visuals and the TV style look that you managed to get although the assets used were simple themselves. THe little polish on the square of compressing during dashing etc were a nice touch. The audio was great, sfx also simple but effective. Only thing i wasnt sure about was use of the theme one room. Overall a solid entry, congrats :)

Fantastic entry, probably my personal favorite in the jam so far. Aesthetic is fantastic: crt effect, lava lamp background, particle effects on death/win, squash of the player sprite on dash, squish of the player sprite on fast fall. I could go on and on. 5/5 on visuals easy. Background song and sfx fit perfectly. Difficulty progression feels very natural and fair, I think the play testing with your friend was a great decision and paid off in bunches. Really liked your interpretation of the theme too. The player controller feels very tight and there is a high ceiling for skill expression. The transition of the new level spawning in looks excellent and well-polished. Not much to say, every thing was well done and highly polished. The only suggestion if you continue to develop this game would be to add some kind of narrator/lore. It doesn't have to be anything too crazy but a sarcastic narrator like in Portal or Will You Snail? or some kind of environmental story telling with props in the background would add a lot and take the game to the next level imo. Really great work and you should be proud of this, keep up the good stuff!!

The concept of filling the room with new challenges is really interesting, and I’d say the level design as a whole is very well thought out. The difficulty curve progressed in a satisfying way, as it not only brought familiarity but also introduced new elements, which kept the engagement steady.

I really enjoy exploring menus, and without meaning to, I ended up clicking on the option with the most levels first haha. Some of them are insanely difficult, but in the beginner mode, I was able to get through it easily.

The controls are very responsive, and I’d say the feedback is great, especially the squash and stretch effect. To take it even further, maybe some small dust particles could be added at moments of impact or even a speed line during the dash—this would really enhance the experience.

For something made in just 16 hours, I’d say you really did a fantastic job, congratulations on that. I wish you the best of luck in the jam—it's a very fun and challenging game!

P.S. I forgot to mention earlier, but a small square or explanatory text appearing when hovering over options, before clicking on them, briefly explaining what each option is, would be really helpful in informing the player about what they’re about to do. It might not have much impact in the current form of the game, but it would be a great addition for future projects.

731.54 second and 41 deaths. I'm so bad XD but still finished anyway. I can say the game is extremely well made! loved the art, music, and the mechanics especially the vfx! the game curve was good reusing the last obstacle and add new one in the next level was great that really implies that you're still in the same room but things iwthin the room are changing, really fit with the theme, the only problem is the music doesn't loop and only run once. Other than that the game is amazing even though my finger is a bit tired from those obstacles XD

Nice polished game, difficulty curve is well balanced

Had a great time playing this little platformer game. Mechanics feel very polished and there a certain learning curve for each of them which adds a lot of depth. I think the shrinking mechanic felt the most unique and really caught me by suprise! I think more of those unique mechanics would improve the game even more but overall it felt super balanced and well thought out. Good stuff!

330.69 seconds, 28 deaths. You made a good platformer sir. My hand hurts a bit :)

You did the difficulty curve perfectly! Thanks to adding each part gradually the player remains encouraged. I felt like "I already beat that part, so I need to go through the new stuff, and through the familiar stuff". Again- this is difficulty design that I'd appreciate in a "big" game!

Controls are vital in platformers. If for any second I'd felt that I landed in spikes because of floaty controls, and not my mistakes I wouldn't finish the game. Because I finished, you know the controls were TIGHT!

The graphics are minimalist, but in a cool way. You added some juice, by squishing the character, and I was a bit surprised when it turned out that the hitbox is squished too!

The sound was... ok? Sound effects worked ok, but the music stopped looping after a while. Not a huge problem, but something to fix.

Use of theme was on point. I loved how the obstacles "grew" filling the room.

Over all- great game. Normally I think making a difficult game for a jam is a gamble, but you pulled it off!

Wow I was so frustrated, but kept going through 133 deaths to complete it, that says something in itself. Tight controls, challenging gameplay and cool design to have more and more obstacles slide into the same room each round. Awesome entry.

Only improvement that I can think of is the sound which is a bit minimal. But that's nitpicking a very cool game.

I can only imagine the frustrating amount of playtesting this took :)

The platformer phyisics are really top tier. It feels really good to play! Simple art style but it works very well. When I saw your game had a speedrun timer I couldn't help but try to get a good time on it haha.

Really cool interpretation on the theme! I loved the art style and the controls. It's a super polished game and I enjoyed it a lot :D

the controls were very polished, the game was hard but in a good way. was way too hard to do the extended version :)
also really liked the art style and the background. i just wish the music will loop :( i was sitting quietly in level 15

i thought I made the music loop but I realized it was a bug in the html version, in the exe it works fine, gosh darn it. also yeah the I defo cranked the extended modes difficulty a bit oo much, thats my bad :P

This game got frustrating in the best way possible. It just made me want to keep trying, especially around stage 13 or 14. I eventually gave up due to time constraints but this is an awesome game.

It feels like the kind of game that really wants to show the player all the places they've died.

I think the game might benefit from just the smallest transition time between death and the next attempt. Even just 1/4 of a second or less. As-is, it's just so small (maybe nonexistent?) that it feels more like being teleported than being respawned.

Super, super, super great game!

The movement is polished and I really like the sort of retro crt effect you added ! I wish the music looped because I do like the music a lot (it matches the synthwave vibe of the game).

Normally I dont like these type of games... but YOURS IS AN EXCEPTION. This is a well polished, finished game and despite it being too difficult for me at times, I had a blast. Only thing I would change is the colours, and make them not too bright - however all in all this was a fantastic entry.
