This is a really clever platformer style game, had fun playing it! The spider platforming was fun, and unlocking the different movements felt good. There were a few places where the controls for the spider felt a little clunky especially jumping on slopes etc. and one part where i got stuck was after unlocking the wall jump, i just couldnt go up.
The artstyle was charming and i absolutely loved the little spider character :D I liked the music and the sound effects also fit well.
Its a really good entry and you can build it up to something bigger definitely has a lot of potential, well done!
Actually i found it refreshing that you are just thrown into a room and asked to figure stuff out. Given the setting of this game, i dont think an explicit tutorial would go that well, but you could think of something like hints written on the wall - given that this is a mental asylum (is that right?) it could be random notes written by patients on the walls which dont really make sense haha
Cool concept and artstyle! Would really help if there were a few hints on the gameplay. I could solve the first puzzle, but got stuck on the second one. Some of the sound effects used are good, but the footsteps one is a bit intrusive. Would have loved to have a nice atmospheric soundtrack to this, to elevate the vibe of the game.
Overall, i feel that it needs polish especially on the UI and controls, but you have a good start and foundation for a nice puzzle game, well done!
Seriously one of the best mechanics in the jam ive come across! Cutting up the floor and trapping the agents is so satisfying and fits really well with the theme. The only thing that was an issue was with the balance - the fast moving agents were too fast and it felt almost a little unfair that i couldnt outrun them, but its still fun because the core mechanic is so interesting. The difficulty curve is definitely steep, but once you get it, its really addictive. THere is a lot of thinking you need to do and quick decision making which is really cool and adds to the depth of the gameplay. artstyle , music and sound effects support the gameplay well and fit the comedic vibe perfectly.
Overall a really great entry, congrats :)
Great atmosphere and visuals! I couldnt get the first puzzle on my first try (as in i found the number but didnt know what to do with it!) so had to look up a few comments. But then got it unlocked. The horror elements are definitely there and I had a couple of jumpscares. Adding some very subtle background score would go a long way in adding to the creepy vibe i think.
Overall it has the foundations for a really good horror game and you have nailed the artstyle, well done :)
Really cool escape room game, felt really happy when i escaped (but i had to look at your hint for the fire :P) The story is really charming and i liked the writing and the puzzles. The background music and art were nice and added to the vibe of the fantasy setting. The theme was also well integrated in the gameplay. Overall, well done, would love to see this expanded to a more detailed game with more puzzles and mechanics, the groundwork is all there :)
Really fun little survival game! I almost made it to the end but my last cookie was stolen at 6 am :( I initially thought that it would be really easy and needed some variation in gameplay, but i think you nailed the refill mechanic - added a lot of decision making - whether to risk keeping the cookies unguarded or to risk running out of energy, well done!
I liked the pixel art- cute and fit the theme and gameplay perfectly. A little bit more feedback with the flashlight itself like adding a small sound effect or particles and on hitting the monsters with the flashlight would have added to the fun. ALso on the cookie being stolen if there were a sound effect that would be great. THe integration with the theme was also very well done.
Overall a nice entry, well done :)
Awesome take on the theme and really fun minesweeper style mechanics! The puzzles were challenging but fun and i liked how every level added floors which added a level of difficulty. I think i got lucky in the later levels with getting my room on the 1st floor itself but had to try multiple times!
The gameplay itself was fun and the feedback on the actions like clicking on the elevator, clicking on doors etc. was great. I especially loved the sound design on this. THe background score was perfect for the mood and so were the different sfx used! I also liked the simple artstyle - fit perfectly for this genre and the mood.
Overall a great entry, well done :)

Really cool little survival game, and i loved how the core mechanic of fueling the light was implemented. Simple but effective. It was a bit on the easier side, but great for a jam. I could complete on the third attempt. The music and sound effects were great, i especially loved how the track changed to a different one if the light ran out- good eye for detail and it added to the immersion.
The art was good overall, but having a triangle for the fuel seemed a bit out of place haha. The theme also fit very nicely, giving a claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a room with monsters.
Overall a nice entry and i had fun playing it, congrats :)
Really fun and challenging shooter, and great use of the theme too, nice twist on the setting. The shooting mechanics and gameplay was really fun and smooth. Especially liked the patterns of the envelopes and linkedin monsters, were difficult to dodge, but you had to learn their movements and then it became easier. I would have liked it if keeping the mouse pressed would shoot, instead of having to click for every bullet, but thats a minor issue, not a big deal. The pizza and soda bottle were also fun little options for weapons to add some variety and had a nice risk/ reward for the player.
The artstyle was nice, i loved the color palette and the different sprites used. One thing maybe could have helped was to make the background elements which were not interactable to have a little less saturation to make the interactable ones more prominent.
There was a nice feel to the shooting, but maybe could be 'juiced up' even more with screen shakes and particles, i think it would add to the fun element. THe integration with the theme was also perfect and very organic.
What could have added more variety was having a differnet 'boss' visually each time one was destroyed. The difficulty definitely ramps up (i reached the 3rd level after attempting a few times and it was definitely harder!) but having it look just a bit differnet would add to the feeling of progressing.
Overall though this was a really fun entry and well polished, great job :)
Nice little zombie shooter game you have here! was fun to shoot at zombies trying to come in through the windows. I loved the artstyle and the animations especially for the player character. THe shooting was also quite satisfying and the UI was quite clean and intuitive.
On the gameplay i felt that adding more variety in terms of either types of enemies or weapons with some sort of upgrade system would definitely add depth to it. I lilked how you had to block the door with the sofa before you called the zombies, but it felt like an unnecessary friction the more i played. The radio mechanic was neat though, well done on that.
Adding a bit of feedback when the house loses help would go a long way in adding polish to it ,something like a simple screenshake would also work and some sfx.
Overall its a nice entry and looks great, A little bit of polish and adding variety in the gameloops would go a long way. Well done :)
Thank you so much for such a well-rounded review! I liked your suggestions on the stacking (it seems most people want to put tables on rugs hahah) and having a separate mode without a timer (That one was definitely on the cards during building but unfortunately ran out of time!) Glad that you had fun, and also a good suggestion for this to be a mobile game. If i could give this review a rating it would be 5 stars :D
Edit - for the question on pallette - i used an asset pack, but edited some of the assets - recolor, adding borders etc. And no i didnt use a pallette.
To be honest i was dreading playing your game since i am really bad at such games, but i have to admit i had a lot of fun! And managed to do ok given my skill level in platformers :D The ramp up in difficulty and the way you introduced new mechanics was done to perfection! Really good job on that. I loved the visuals and the TV style look that you managed to get although the assets used were simple themselves. THe little polish on the square of compressing during dashing etc were a nice touch. The audio was great, sfx also simple but effective. Only thing i wasnt sure about was use of the theme one room. Overall a solid entry, congrats :)
Really funny and interesting story and concept you have here! I love how well the theme was integrated in the gameplay.. theres a lot of things to do in the room but it also feels confining which is the perfect mood for such kind of a game. THe writing on this was top notch, both the books and the whatsapp style messages which felt really organic like youre having a conversation with your boss! My game crashed during my second monster - the demon - so i couldnt play ahead, but will give it another shot later. Only thing i would suggest is that for the books, the text while interesting content wise is a bit difficult to read. If it were put in some sort of box and formatted differently would add to the immersiveness. Overall, loved the story and had fun playing!
This is a neat little crafting puzzle game and i had fun with it crafting many different items. I didnt really reach the end because i wasnt fast enough i guess as the new pieces of junk kept getting in the way haha! The artstyle is quite pleasing and consistent and goes will with the space theme. the items themselves were represented well visually with a clear progression of higher level crafted items.
The controls felt ok, but sometimes the lag in picking up the item and placing it felt a bit irritating especially if the place would be taken up by a new spawned junk item! I noticed a bug where i was sure that i had combined 2 pipes but i got some other combined item. i think if you press space and move immediately thereafter to the adjacent one, the crafted item changes.
The gameplay loop was quite fun and engaging so i ended up playing for 15-20 minutes. However i would have liked to know some progress or how close i was to my goal as i played and the text below helped a bit, but i couldnt really get much idea from that. Also i think the speed at which new items spawned can be reduced a bit.
Sound effects were ok, but definitely would have liked more maybe a crane moving sound and a few more. A nice ambient background track would also help to create a nice vibe.
Overall it was a fun game, well done:)
Great game - really well executed and fires on every front - the theme, gameplay, visuals and music all work perfectly to give a really fun experience and the leaderboard is a nice touch. Really well done, dont have much feedback to give since it pretty much has everything that a good game should have, congrats!
i swear i was staring to feel like a goldfish and i played that mini game more than i should have lol. Really chill expereince and does what it says in the title - simulate the life of a goldfish haha. The art was really well made, loved the day night cycle, it really did feel like a room in a house. The music also added to the atmosphere and was one of the reasons i wanted to stay a bit longer. The little narration at the bottom is a nice touch! Well done on this :)
Nice concept which fit the theme and implemented well. The vibe was really good with the music and the models used. The gameplay was fun but i kept getting the 'talking' request quite often - was it random? if so, you could maybe put some sort of a check to ensure that there is a variety in the requests.. There were some other requests which i got like asking for time from parents and changing the TV which was cool. I think the gameplay could benefit from a bit more variety in requests and how the requests are handled also - for example - can you kick out guests if they are spoiling the party vibe? Also a bit more feedback on completing actions like little sound effects or particle effects could add to the polish. Overall well done, this was a good entry :)
Man im so bad at these games.. high score 25 sec lol.. The game is fun unfortunately i couldnt get past the level with the discs i tried a lot, trust me :D But i think its just my skill issue. Tha being said, i felt that the difficulty jump fromthe first to the second could have been slightly lower! That was the only issue i had with the game - overall it was really cool - the gameplay was great - jumping, running, double jumping felt really smooth and fair and whenever i died it was never because of the controls. The art was terrific - i like minimalistic art in games and youve managed to do a lot with just a few colors. The animations of the puzzles were so good! well done. THe music and sound were great. Just one small issue i had was after winning the first level - the sound used was something i would use if i died or lost so i was a bit confused :D The theme integration was also done well. Overall a great entry, congrats :)
Really interesting concept and implementation, well done! The art is beautiful and really adds to the creepy atmosphere almost like Disco elysium vibes! The menu screen was great - very responsive with the UI and gave a really polished look. A few suggestions i have that might help improve on this - 1. The gameplay was a bit lacking i felt and you could add some more variety to make it more interesting like clicking on various things in the room with the mouse or dragging something from somewhere to somewhere in the room. This will also feel organic to the theme and add some variety. 2. The game is a bit unforgiving at the moment, you could make it easier by penalizing the player lesser on missed actions or wrong actions or reduce the time between actions atleast initially, and then speed up. This would also give the player some leeway to get used to the concept. 3. Maybe some feedback on if a key was missed - something like a flashing or an error sound could help since its difficult to look at the meter on the left when youre looking at the keyboard pressing buttons :D 4. Voice over for the instructions? I dont know you could try it out, since the player is looking at the keyboard, a voice telling him what to do could also add to the vibe.
Overall though this is a great entry and the fact that you did it in 4 days in a totally new engine is quite impressive! Well done :)
Really unique puzzle game, had some interesting and challenging puzzles. The timer was perfect i think, added to the tension of a ticking time bomb and the puzzles were also designed to be solved in that amount of time. I liked the visuals on this, well done. Some high energy background track would have been great to add to the mood.. The controls were smooth and easy to follow, so right from the first room it was quite intuitive what to do. Overall, really well done!
Really cute and wholesome game! THis fit the theme of One room perfectly and the gameplay was fun. I loved that you did all the art by yourself, the game looks great and the room is very nicely designed! On the gameplay a little bit of variety in the enemies/ toys would have made it even more fun, but its not a huge deal. THe upgrades and enemies were quite balanced and the power spikes were quite organic. The difficulty also could have been slightly higher since after getting the 2nd plushie i was invincible :D Overall the vibe of the game was very nice, the music and sfx were good and fit the theme. Well done :)
Thank you so much for playing and the detailed review, really appreciate it! Great suggestions as well! stacking furniture on top of each other is a nice idea (maybe only specific things allowed)! I was planning on putting 2 modes - a chillax mode and timed mode, so thats definitely on the cards in future if i work on this! Thanks for the feedback on the UI and volume levels. will definitely try to improve it :)
Really fun puzzle game which captured the theme of 'one room' very well! The increasing feeling of claustrophobia really made you think about the placement of shapes. It was a very innovative concept also, havent really seen a puzzle game like this!
The powerups were good, but i ended up not using most and saving most of my bits for discarding.
The art was also well made and suitable for such kind of a puzzle game, but i think could have used a bit more polish. The music and SFX fit the vibe of the game well.
Overall this was a unique and interesting take on the theme and well implemented, well done :)

Really fun shooter with amazing art! I could destroy 3 /5 hearts, but the 4th one proved too difficult haha.
The combat on this although quite straightforward is implemented really well - even having just 1 'weapon' for the player, it did not feel repetitive at all since the feedback/ juice with the particles, screenshakes, sound effects and the animations were phenomenal! The variations in the enemies were well done and the difficulty ramp up also felt very organic.
The sound effects really added that crunch to the combat and the music also fit the gameplay perfectly.
Also i really appreciated the fact that I didnt have to replay all the hearts from the beginning after dying. That was a very important design decision which made me play a little longer.
Overall a really well done, congrats :)
Nice game, i got the route 3 ending :D The script and dialogues were well written and the characters were interesting, so talking to each one felt quite engaging. Typically this is not my genre of choice, but i had fun for the time i played this! I liked the music and voice acting, went well with the vibe of the game Well done on the entry :)
Great game! Loved how the gameplay was so well integrated with the theme! Moving around the walls felt very smooth and fun and the puzzle aspect was challenging but fair. I didnt manage to complete the whole thing, im not good at such games lol, but i tried my best. It took me a while to understand what the brightness and darnkess did, but i guess that was part of the puzzle. It was a very clever mechanic. Overall great job on this!
I could reach Hour 7! Nice interesting game and i love these types of tower defense type strategy games where the focus is on resource management. I played for 3-4 runs and tried a few different strategies and heres a few points that i have:
1. The difficulty of the game is a bit high i think (was atleast for me). The initial few rounds are easy, but once the larger monsters start coming from the left, i kept running out of ammo. I think the amount of money earned for every kill can be increased or the cost of ammo or heal can be reduced.
2. Getting the 2nd turret seems almost impossible since you need to keep getting ammo to refill, so i kept fortifying the same room and using the same room to be attacked. once in between, i fortified one room and chose the other to be attacked, just so that i could save on ammo and earn points for clearing the level but that didnt work out in the end! So i just feel that there are not many viable strategies for the player to use, and sticking to one room might be the default one.
That being said, the gameplay is really fun. You have managed to add a lot of juice to all of the elements including the menu, option selection, text etc which is great. The shooting itself and killing zombies is really fun and the faster zombies add some nice variation. The art is also really good and the music and sound effects match the gameplay well. I think if the difficulty were reduced by reducing costs it would balance the game nicely and would make it even more interesting! Overall well done though, i had a really fun time in the few times i played :)
Really cool and unique little game! its a nice variation on the point and click games, and the moment you realise how to reveal stuff its a very satisfying feeling! With just this 1 mechanic you were able to add some nice variation to the gameplay. Also fit the theme very nicely. Although short, it was definitely a fun experience and congrats that you were able to do it in just 3-4 days. If you plan to improve on it, probably a one thing would be to add some nice ambient music, would really elevate the experience!
Managed to delete all the files! Although the last one - should i be happy about it? i dont know.. :D. It took me 3 attempts. Its a nice little puzzle game, and fits the theme of the room very nicely. The premise is interesting and the ticking timeline really puts you on edge. The puzzles themselves were pretty good difficulty wise and had some nice variety.
For the music - maybe something a but more hectic or fast paced would have suited better i think to capture that urgency. Art style was also good, but maybe some effects or variation especially on the windows boxes menus screens would have enhanced the overall look.
Overall really good entry and i had fun playing it, well done!
