This game was really fun, though it took two play throughs for me to kinda figure it out. The problem I still have is that it seems like every time I try to crush a same-type pile to make more room, more trash appears, sometimes right on top of it. I've been trying to see what happens when I put two same-type crushed piles on top of each other, but by the time I find one to combine, more trash appears on top of it and the room is now completely full to the point I can't move anything anywhere. Either I really don't get it, or the game could really use a garbage chute for when trash piles up too much, or maybe slow down the trash accumulation.

Nitpicking aside, the art and audio were good and the bantering between the robots was fun and really did a good job charactering them in such a short experience.

P.S. Maybe others have mentioned this, but the music did not loop for me.

Addictive game, loved the dialoguesxd

Cool game!, i love the dialogues between the robots really integrated well within the game, their chit chat while we're playing also a nice touch. The art is well done, really fit and the movement animation is smooth, the sfx also spot on, nice! Even though there's no hint what should we make at the end, the gameplay is quite straightfroward, just merge the same class of object! Still i cannot finish the game because the junk was piling up too fast for me :( but i can see the potential of this game, and it is and enjoyable game, Well done!

Super addictive game! Although the gameplay is relatively simple, the core concept is engaging enough to keep players entertained for hours, as it falls into that "easy to understand, hard to master" category.

At times, it was pretty challenging to find an item that would match with another to free up space, but I felt like in those moments, I could just throw any random item on top of another, and it was almost guaranteed that the "solution" would come soon after.

The characters’ dialogues also add a really nice touch to the storyline. I think the fact that the robots have these little conversations during gameplay makes the game feel much more alive (by the way, I absolutely loved the robot designs—they look great).

The overall art style is very pleasant. You even added a parallax effect in the background with the moon slowly moving across the windows. These are small details that maybe only a few players will notice, but they make the experience much richer and more immersive. It's a clear sign of love for the game itself.

I really liked the fusion mechanic. I think we could take certain items to upgrade the attributes of the mechanical claw itself, making the game even more engaging—things like increasing movement speed, fusion speed, etc.

Congrats on the game, it’s really fun and enjoyable. Best of luck in the jam!

This is a neat little crafting puzzle game and i had fun with it crafting many different items. I didnt really reach the end because i wasnt fast enough i guess as the new pieces of junk kept getting in the way haha! The artstyle is quite pleasing and consistent and goes will with the space theme. the items themselves were represented well visually with a clear progression of higher level crafted items.

The controls felt ok, but sometimes the lag in picking up the item and placing it felt a bit irritating especially if the place would be taken up by a new spawned junk item! I noticed a bug where i was sure that i had combined  2 pipes but i got some other combined item. i think if you press space and move immediately thereafter to the adjacent one, the crafted item changes.

The gameplay loop was quite fun and engaging so i ended up playing for 15-20 minutes. However i would have liked to know some progress or how close i was to my goal as i played and the text below helped a bit, but i couldnt really get much idea from that. Also i think the speed at which new items spawned can be reduced a bit.

Sound effects were ok, but definitely would have liked more maybe a crane moving sound and a few more. A nice ambient background track would also help to create a nice vibe.

Overall it was a fun game, well done:)

Nice entry, I really liked the characters and visuals of the game (although the starry background would sometimes break). As for the gameplay, the rooms do fill up pretty fast, pairing that with a bit of a floaty controller, while at the same time items are placed on a grid, it would feel a tad bit frustrating after some time. I know it's a game jam game, so I get the time constraint, but I feel dividing the game into levels and playing into the story/lore could help with that.

Interesting puzzle game . I can go on for ever.

I played for like an hour, having a grand old time waiting for the ending until I checked the comments xD. Too bad the final cutscene didn't make it in, I had a blast with your game and it would have been a great way to wrap things up. The intro piano song was lovely and the stars/planets/constellations scrolling past the ship windows was a nice touch. The robot portraits are dope and each has a distinct look, personality and "voice" which was pretty neat. It took me a while to realize the smushing stuff together mechanic and I think that could have been introduced to the player a bit earlier, before the ship starts to fill up. The combining things to make a better thing to combine it again to make a better thing is a super fun core mechanic and I was eagerly awaiting to see the next new upgrade (each sprite was awesome!). It felt kind of like a claw machine combined with the mobile game 2048 in a sci-fi setting, I dig it.

The attention to detail on the art is impressive: from the pipes running along the back wall to the damaged walls to the trash itself, every asset felt like it had care put into it and was cohesive as a whole. I could believe I was actually on the ship. Somehow I never got soft locked, without trying much not too, so I either got very lucky or you did a great job coding the spawns so to help avoid soft locking. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this entry, but it would have been awesome to experience the final cut scene as the lack of an ending made the overall experience feel unfinished. The core mechanic is super solid, the robots and backstory give it a fun context, and the visuals sell the fantasy well. Keep up the good work team!!

I showed this comment to all of my friends who worked on this game and we all cheered :] I makes us very happy that someone had such a good time playing the game we all loved creating. The characters already grew dear to our hearts and wish we couldve done an even better job building the world that brings them to life. After the Jam is officially over we're gonna make sure that the ending cutscene is finally accessible and ill reply here again incase you wanna check it out! Thank you so much for leaving such a heartwarming comment for us to read, we want to continue joining game jams and these comments and feedback help push us to level up our game <3

That's dope that you all had such a good time jamming together. Please do drop a comment with the updated game, I'd be happy to check it out. Good luck with you future gamedev work, and keep on creating stuff!!

The idea behind the game is cool, but it feels up too fast, and I got stuck with a room full of stuff I couldn't merge.

Other than that, the game has personality, and the robots were cool :)

Great little game!

I found my first time I got kinda soft locked as I had all my space full with nothing I could merge, so second play through I made sure I always had a couple of things I could merge to create space and got me through the game, very neat concept :)

I'm not sure if I was bugged or not but I thought I created the final forms of each piece as seen in screen shot, but I was getting no more dialogue and couldnt merge them or anything :S also the copper wires stacked I could not merge or even pickup the top one, it just wouldnt let me interact with them at all once stacked :(

Developer(+1)

yes unfortunatly we didnt have the time to bug fix the ending so the game is unfinished :(( Which is sad because there is a whole ending cutscene implemented and now you cant get to it ._. I hope we can take the time after the game jam to fix stuff and put in the cool title screen I made.

I hope you still had fun playing with the core gameplay tho, despite it all! Thank you so much for taking the time to rate our game and give feedback, it truly is appreciated!

I love the personalities of the robots and their banter, gives great atmosphere. The looping room is cool too.

The combining was fun at first, but it had too many stages and became tedious after while. I ended up not finishing it. The "crushing"  move of the arm wasn't obvious, so i was just moving things around at first.

Fun idea and cool execution, just a few steps less in the combining would have made it better. Cheers!

Small bugs: the moving space background sometimes glitches

I'm a sucker for scifi repair scenarios so I love the theme. The game was pretty easy to get into but I wish it had explained how to move the claw.

The amount of new stuff being dropped feels oppressive. And sometimes, annoyingly, the new stuff would just replace something else that I was trying to combine. Also, a bug I noticed: If you move the claw down to combine two items but move to a different spot before the animation is finished, it just overwrites whatever is in the new spot with the item you would have created in the original spot.  This is very abusable but I have no doubt not intended.

Fun game for the short time I had to play it!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! We tried to have the junk spawn quickly in the beginning and slower in the end but i can see how it still feels like too much. Glad you had fun nonetheless :)

Fun merging mechanics, was not able to repair the ship. I wanted to make all maximum pile but some of them where disapearing and i got stuck with too much copper.

Developer

yes unfortunately we weren't able to fix the end of the game in time. Thank you very much for taking to play it tho!
