Thank you! We are definitely getting a lot of feedback about having some kind of tutorial (our self-identified weakness). Thanks for the very fun jam!

You knocked it out of the park!
This game was intuitive and easy to play. It's nice to have a cozy game that rocks. I think this game is a level above most of the games I have played so far for this jam. It was realatable and magical. It was satisfying with every click. The cookbook made me want to keep exploring new recipes. I thought the fairys harvesting outside the window was clever.
Great Job!

Super cute and great concept! It seems like you did a really good job of hitting a complete scope since it didn't feel like there was anything missing gameplay-wise, especially for the timeframe of a game jam. I could see this as being a pretty fun expanded game. Only note when playing is that it felt like the game moved a bit slowly, so speeding up animations may help with that. Good job!
Interesting idea with an enjoyably goofy art style. Had trouble running the game, but was able to walk around and pick some things up. Had trouble depositing resources/progressing, but the extent that I was able to play was nice.
I believe this is the first entry I've played that used Unreal, so kudos for that!
A classic sandbox action adventure style game!
But I think it is important to note your DEVLOG. It is well organized, written concisely, and has relevant pictures to help break up dense text. I think devlogs like yours can really help other developers improve their own skills faster.
Fun game and awesome devlog!
Yeah, I think a tutorial that steps you through using each instruction would be super helpful so the player can get the feel for how each one works in practice. If a tutorial feels too cumbersome, maybe having more puzzles that start really simple, like 2 instructions even if that doesn't make sense in real life, then increase in complexity as the player gains experience using each instruction. We'll follow the game page so we can see any updates you put out, since it feels like it could be a really neat game with even just a little refinement beyond a game jam scope.
Fun vampire survivor like game. After reading the instructions, it is easy to figure out. Just a heads up players do not like to read. They just want to play. So something small like a "left click" icon near the first few ammos would help. Our tutorials tend to be what holds our games back.
Wild theme of a mint with a bazooka, haha. Keep it up!
Definitely saw where you were going with this, and with more time, it seems like it could be a cohesive RPG! We've definitely had to learn what our scope limits are through trial and error, so keep at it! Even though we've done many small scope games, we also overscoped a little on ours. It's easy to get carried away with an idea you like! Glad you had fun either way :)
This is visually pleasing! The gameplay feels good and pretty smooth. I could see this becoming an awesome full fledged game. I hope you keep adding to it! I did experience some frame rate drops. Maybe something to do with the particle effect. We work in godot and particle effects always bog up our frame rate. Also my computer is getting a bit old now. So it could just be on my end.
Sweet game and I love the bioluminescent feel!
The main character might give you nightmares in our game XD ahhah you can play here https://splashy-inc.itch.io/splashy-fish-2-moonshine-madness. We worked really hard on it. But 3D games are really hard for us. So we decided to make a ton more 2D mini games before opening that can of worms again. Great job on your submission!
This was fun! It was engaging and I found myself wanting to keep playing. The art is awesome! The actions had a good punch to them. I liked the pictures in your devlog to show the progress in your art/game. I also really appreciated the spawning factor after reading your devlog. The color palette was distinct and worked well. I found the "left mouse click" and "spacebar" icons super helpful during gameplay. Great job!
Super fun, distilled gameplay experience in a short run format. Well done on scope as well as aesthetics. We think you hit the theme spot on!
We really enjoyed the SFX and soundtrack. The music getting more intense near the end definitely had the intended effect.
Also, the fact that the special items would be sold if not used was a neat way of having the player decide to pick them up or not until they knew how to use them.
Great job!
Yo! I read your devlog and saw "Overall this project taught me not to overscope projects and to always finish my games, even if they are bad and even if they don't turn out like I imagined them to".
I feel so seen with this for game jams. We struggle to keep to our scope and deal with "scope creep" the finish line keeps moving further away.
So glad you did post it because this game is super fun!
